On Wednesday evening, Paula Patton joined Haute Living, Tanqueray gin and JetSmarter at Nobu Malibu for an intimate celebration in honor of her recent June/July cover.
Patton is the star of Warcraft, a Universal Pictures project that hit theaters on June 6 which is based on the popular video game of the same name. The film has grossed over $412 million worldwide, surpassing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time as the highest-grossing video game adaptation of all time.
In the movie, Patton plays Garona Halforcen, a strong-willed half-orc survivor caught between the Alliance and the Horde.

The effervescent actress showed traces of her half Orc character as she arrived looking completely beautiful and in good spirits with family and friends in tow, wearing a black romper and a smile that stayed on her face throughout the evening.
She posed prettily before walking around the room, introducing herself to every single person and thanking them for coming—no mean feat in Hollywood, we’ll tell you!

She was joined by her crew of close-knit friends and family members, including mother Joyce Patton, as well as pals Tina Au, Robert Steinke and Jessie Foutz.
Additional guests who joined publisher Seth Semilof and Los Angeles Editor-in-Chief Laura Schreffler at the dinner, were multiple Grammy-winning producer David Foster, philanthropist Nikita Kahn, photographer John Russo, Mohamed Al Sharek, Ernie Lake and Hilton & Hyland co-founder Jeff Hyland.
A cocktail hour consisted of passed Tanquerary cocktails and champagne, while dinner—an impossibly chic affair as always at Malibu’s hottest spot—was an omakase offering of yellowtail jalapeño, ocean trout, ribeye with truffle butter and, of course, Nobu’s signature sushi.
