C’est Rouge! at Faena: Christian Louboutin, Lingerie and Rose Red
We’ve been hearing about Faena for a long time now. About the whole-block undertaking, about the hotel, the penthouses, the restaurants, but what about the arts? Well, that part of the equation has finally been revealed with the opening of the Faena Theater and it’s original production, C’est Rouge!
Designed by world renowned choreographer and stage director Blanca Li, the show debuted at the Faena Theater on June 4th with an indefinite run every weekend. A VVIP Opening Night party was hosted by Alan Faena and Ximena Caminos and attended by revelers including Dwyane Wade, Inés Rivero, Elsa Benitez, Bhakti Baxter, Marvin Ross Friedman & Adrienne Bon Haes, Ugo & Sara Colombo, David & Christy Martin, Jonathan & Criselda Breene, Chad & Ilona Oppenheim, and George Lindemann.
The show adds a touch of the sensual through a series of singular vignettes set to Latin American and jazz rhythms by an extraordinary septet band. Not your average show, C’est Rouge! fuses entertainment, humor and beauty with beautiful bodies and show-stopping costumes featuring brands like Christian Louboutin.
The show was conceived under Alan Faena’s direction, who has brought together a first-class creative artistic team, which besides Director Blanca Li, includes Dani Morla as Artistic Director, Rafael Olarra as Set Designer, Tao Gutierrez as Musical Director, Charles Carcopino for videos and Laurent Mercier as Costume Designer.
The show includes collaborations with some of the biggest talents in fashion: Oribe for hair, Juan Gatti for costumes, Erik Halley for costume accessories, sexy French lingerie line Fifi Chachnil, and Christian Louboutin for footwear. The show follows the the hotelier’s philosophy of getting only the best and most luxurious for his projects.
Don’t go hungry, grab a three-course pre-show prix-fixe at Pao, just up the stairs from the theater, before the show. Just be sure to be in place when the curtain goes up!
