Alchemist to Host Two-Day Pop-Up For Justin Bieber ‘Purpose Tour’
Justin Bieber has been making waves wherever he goes, and his arrival in Miami is no different. He’s teamed up with Alchemist—one of Miami’s coolest boutiques—to do a pop-up shop selling tour merchandise for two short days. The dates are Friday, July 1st and Saturday, July 2nd, which coincide with his July 2nd “Purpose” tour date at the American Airlines Arena.
This means you’ll need to need to move fast if you want one of the eight exclusive designs created just for this stop of the Justin Bieber x Purpose tour. It breaks down like this: four “Miami” designs and four “Alchemist” designed that come in the form of muscle tees (ironic, we’re guessing) long and short sleeve tees framing in price from $60 to $160. Naturally, they’ve chosen the coolest of Alchemist’s three locations for this activation—the floating glass box of a store on the fifth level of the Herzog and de Meuron parking garage at 1111 Lincoln Road.
It’s easy to see why the Biebs chose the designer shop in the sky (known for carrying Chrome Hearts, Ric Owens and Vetements), but the larger question is why would they host a Bieber tour merchandise event at their cooler-than-thou digs? Probably because the collection has been praised by fashion and street wear blogs, which is a bit edgier than you’d expect for the young pop singer, who is trying to shatter his tween image. The success of the line is likely because of Bravado, a part of Universal Music Group that works on creative branding opportunities for artists. In other words, the merchandise will fit right in next to $2,300 Vetements hoodies and $900 tee-shirts.
The powers that be want it to be known that shirts will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. The shop opens both days at 11am and will stay open until 8pm. Shop Alchemist here.
