Haute Living’s Private Collector Dinner with Hublot, Perrier Jouët and The Collection
On Friday, December 4, Haute Living held its annual Basel blowout with sponsor Hublot, which was called the “best party of Basel” by more than a few VIPs who should know.
The evening started with an intimate collector’s dinner party sponsored by Hublot, The Collection and Perrier Jouët at Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and actress Gabrielle Union’s waterfront home in Miami Beach.
The sprawling entrance of the property was transformed into a magic garden, with a topiary maze featuring works by pop artist Mr. Brainwash aka. Thierry Guetta walls and flower wall by Olyve Flowers.
Guests, including Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez, actor-artist Adrien Brody, the Heat’s Justise Winslow, Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, artist Romero Britto, developer Jorge Perez and wife Darlene, and Ugo and Sara Colombo, enjoyed a GIFF photo booth by Olyve flowers and a Perrier Jouët reception.
The newest Hublot timepieces and a shiny new Ferrari were on display for guests to admire before sitting down to a lovely four-course dinner including a poached pear salad and surf and turf.
Wade, who is a brand ambassador for Hublot, and The Collection, rose to make a toast during dinner saying, “My wife and I are very thankful to be able to open our doors to you. It took us four years to build this house, we just moved in last year, so it’s great to host our first event here with partners Hublot and The Collection.”
He went on to recall interesting events earlier in the day, “I was trying to take a nap when the crane was lifting a car over our house, so there’s a story.”
The party then moved a few blocks south to industrialist Wayne Boich’s house, a newly built modernist manse. “Don’t judge my home by their home,” joked Wade “this one is a starter kit [in comparison]!”
Guests then boarded a VanDutch yacht to ride a few blocks south to Boich’s newly built modernist waterfront home, where the second part of the party was already underway.
