Haute Living and Hublot Celebrate Scottie Pippen’s 50th Birthday
On Friday, September 25th Haute Living and Hublot celebrated Scottie Pippen‘s 50th birthday at the brand-new Brickell supper club, El Tucan. The six-time NBA champion and Olympic gold medalist was surrounded by close friends and family members at the cabaret Latin-inspired cabaret.
Upon entrance, guests were greeted with a signature cocktail (Crown Ginger) or a glass of champagne. The Figaro cigar roller station was a popular spot as guests mingled and nibbled on hors d’ oeuvres. At around 9:30, the star-studded crowd was invited by staff to sit for dinner. Shortly after, the video montage began and dinner by Michelin-rated chef, Jean Paul Lourdes was served.
As guests enjoyed the Latin-inspired cuisine, they took in a performance by burlesque dancers and a contagious percussionist show. After dinner, guests gathered around the dessert display, which was located on the second floor to sing happy birthday.
It was here where magazine publisher Kamal Hotchandani, Rick de la Croix, Ricardo Guadalupe, and Keenan Towns said a few words to the birthday boy, raised a glass, and gave a toast to Pippen. Pippen received an embroided bag with a bottle of Crown Royal, among other gifts and wife Larsa Pippen didn’t leave empty handed, receiving a darling Hublot watch from Rick de la Croix.
While the festivities were taking place upstairs, servers worked seamlessly downstairs removing tables to create a dance floor. The second round of performances kicked off with feather girls and percussionist as guests made their way downstairs to the dancefloor. Recording artist and producer, Jeremih took the stage performing hits like “Birthday Sex” and “Don’t Tell Em” as the crowd sang along. After Jeremih, it was Fat Joe’s turn to keep the party pumping. The rapper had the audience reminiscing the past, performing hits like “Lean Back” and “What’s Love”. The DJ then played hits that had the VIP crowd moving and grooving.
As the celebration came to a close, each guest received gift bags upon leaving. Needless to say, it was certainly a night for the books. May the years continue to be good to you Scottie Pippen!
El Tucan is slated to unveil their stage to the public for the first time on October 2nd and will offer the best selection of live Latin Tropical and International entertainment.
