Imported from Scotland’s finest Cameronbridge distillery, HAIG CLUB, a sleek single-grained scotch whiskey brand, made its over-the-top debut on the Miami social scene this past week with two star-studded private events hosted by its partners, soccer stud David Beckham and esteemed British entrepreneur Simon Fuller.
Tauted as the next big trend in the whiskey world, HAIG CLUB made a grand entrance at the Palm Avenue function where influential guests indulged in an intimate five-course spread prepared by James Beard award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein while being served up the ultra-smooth butterscotch and toffee-tinged beverage using unique twists.
Brand ambassadors Beckham and Fuller, with the assistance of its ownership, British alcoholic beverage giant Diageo, will embark on a worldwide HAIG tour to take this newly revived 400-year-old brand to the next level.
Miami joins the list as the second city to introduce the exceptional pop-up experience in a series of break-out events in upscale cities around the world. Inaugurated in London back in March at the historic Wellington Arc, the Haig “clubman” heritage– of reining in every dapper social gathering at exclusive clubs with a high-raised glass of HAIG whiskey, will continue its tradition as it makes its way to Shanghai in 2016. Future forecasts predict HAIG CLUB will be a name to remember as critics have already deemed it “Scotland’s hidden gem”.
Beckham expressed his enthusiasm saying, “Miami is one of my favorite cities and it’s a place which means a lot to me. It has such energy and vibrancy – people here are always looking for new experiences and so it’s great to be able to present HAIG CLUB™ here in this way for friends old and new.” Miami has been quite the expencant bride of Beckham, hoping that the soccer great will one day move to the city once and for all after his many visits following his extensive location scouting for a new stadium.
