For those who aren’t familiar with EAST, Miami, it is a hotel brand with outposts in Hong Kong and Beijing. The brand seeks to look outside the box and come up with new concepts or luxury. There will be 352 guest rooms, which have been promised to be some of the biggest in Miami, along with eight suites, and 89 residences for longer stays with one, two, and three bedrooms. The hotel was designed by Arquitectonica and will feature interiors by Clodagh Design, a New York-based firm.

There will also be a very unique signature restaurant, Quinto La Huella, a Uraguayan parrilla steakhouse experience owned by Martín Pittaluga, Gustavo Barbero, and Guzmán Artagaveytia who own a popular beachside restaurant in Uruguay. The restaurant boasts indoor/outdoor eating, and will most likely be a happening place from day one given the owners notoriety and success in the southern hemisphere. In addition to Quinto La Huella, there will also be a bar on the hotel’s rooftop, to be called “Sugar.” The design for both the bar and restaurant will be executed by Los Angeles-based Studio Collective, who specialize in hospitality design.
