Hyatt Hotels Corporation in affiliation with Miami-based development group Robert Finvarb Companies and its partner David Martins, announced the grand opening of Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami on June 1st. It’s the first Hyatt Centric-branded hotel in Miami Beach and the second worldwide. “We’re excited to introduce our newest brand, Hyatt Centric, to vibrant South Beach,” said Sandra Micek, global senior vice president of brands, Hyatt. “Hyatt Centric South Beach is positioned to deliver on the brand’s commitment to put guests in the middle of the action and inspire them to explore the destination.” The hotel is located in close proximity to South Beach’s iconic attractions, such as the Convention Center, Bass Museum, New World Center, and world-class shopping on Lincoln Road.

Sandra added, “Hyatt Centric South Beach is ideally located in the heart of South Beach on Collins Avenue and 16th Street,” said developer Robert Finvarb, a Miami Beach native who has placed a strong emphasis on honoring his local roots in the development of the hotel. “Hyatt Centric South Beach captures the spirit of South Beach and inspires guests to explore the best that the area has to offer. Guests will be steps away from the best in culture, dining, and nightlife.”
Famed architect Kobi Karp utilized the local culture of South Beach as his source of inspiration for the design of the 105-room hotel. The lifestyle hotel is a 10-story glass tower with floot-to-ceiling windows that sits above a historic building façade. Local gallerist Dina Mitrani selected the contemporary furnishings, which make the hotel’s interiors peaceful and inviting. Public spaces showcase an art series titled “El Peso de las Cosas” (The Weight of Things) by artist Marina Font.

Upon arrival, guests are led to the central lobby lounge where they will be greeted with a handcrafted signature cocktail at the bar located on the third floor. The Hyatt Centric features an open-air deck complete with a swimming pool, ultra comfy lounge chairs, and shaded cabanas. The hotel also offers a distinct indoor-outdoor lobby located on the third floor with stunning public spaces for guests to socialize or simply unwind. Hyatt Centric’s Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant called DECK sixteen, serves a locally sourced menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner thanks to gifted Executive Chef William Milian.
