Saks SF: Four New RTW Brands, Including Alexander Wang
Bay Area fashionistas, especially those who are fans of San Francisco native Alexander Wang, will be thrilled to know that this spring, Saks Fifth Avenue San Francisco launches four new ready-to-wear brands specifically tailored to the discerning San Francisco fashion market. Joining the current collections at the Saks San Francisco store, the four new brands include Givenchy Women’s, Alexander Wang, GIAMBA and Agnona.
Givenchy Women’s
The house of Givenchy was founded in 1952 by designer Hubert de Givenchy and is now one of the world’s most exclusive ready-to-wear brands for men and women. Now under the creative direction of Riccardo Tisci, Givenchy continues to be known for its iconic silhouettes that have the architectural lines with unmatched elegance. Givenchy Men’s, Givenchy Handbags and Givenchy Accessories were launched at Saks San Francisco in 2014. Givenchy Women’s is on Two in the Women’s Store.
Alexander Wang
Born in San Francisco in 1983, this American fashion designer has made an impact on the fashion world in a short time. Launching his first collection in 2007, Alexander Wang continues to push the envelope with his edgy fashions that are synonymous with celebrity names like Rihanna and Solange Knowles. Alexander Wang is also the creative director for Balenciaga where he oversees the Women’s and Men’s ready-to-wear and accessories lines. Alexander Wang is on Two in the Women’s Store.
GIAMBA
Almost a decade after the Giambattista Valli line was launched, the fashion house decided to launch a new prêt-à-porter line under the name of GIAMBA. GIAMBA – the same name given to the designer by his closest friends – takes a more youthful approach to his always-impeccable designs. GIAMBA is exclusive to Saks and is shown on Two in the Women’s Store.
Agnona
Under the creative direction of Stefano Pilati, former creative director at Yves Saint Laurent, Agnona epitomizes the statement of classic royalty and this season’s laser-cut symbols with an ode to Egypt will definitely bring an old-world Ancient Egypt feel to the streets of San Francisco. The Agnona collection is scheduled to arrive early-May.
