Philanthropic Hollywood Stars Honored at Unite4:Good’s Unite4:Humanity Gala

The Hollywood elite took a break from the traditional rounds of Oscar-party going to focus on philanthropy at unite4:good’s second annual unite4: humanity gala.

The entertainment industry’s brightest stars from the worlds of film, television and music were recognized and honored for their philanthropic commitments alongside seven community heroes and leaders who are using their voices and platforms for positive change.

Golden Globe winning actress Amy Poehler received the Unity Award for her work with Worldwide Orphans. She joined honorees including Academy Award®-winning actress Halle Berry, who received the Creative Conscience Award for her work with the Jenesee Center; global film star Ewan McGregor who received the International Humanitarian Award for his work with UNICEF UK; Lauren Paul and three-time Emmy®-winner Aaron Paul who received the unite2gether Award for their work with the Kind Campaign.

Three-time Grammy®-winner P!nk – who also performed at the soiree – received the Music Visionary Award for her work with No Kid Hungry; Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson who received the Young Humanitarian Award for his work with Straight But Not Narrow; and Emmy®-winner Christina Applegate who received the Saint Vintage Love Cures Award for her work with Right Action for Women.

Busy Philipps hosted The Beverly Hilton-held event, while presenters included recording artist, actress, and talk show host Queen Latifah, who presented to Halle Berry; five time Golden Globe nominee Emily Blunt presented to Ewan McGregor; executive producer of award winning show “Breaking Bad” Michelle MacLaren presented to Lauren and Aaron Paul; Academy Award winning actor Jeff Bridges presented to P!nk; and five time Emmy nominated actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson presented to Josh Hutcherson.

Others in attendance included: Demi Lovato, Sarah Hyland, Beth Behrs, Camilla Belle, Wilmer Valderrama, Zendaya, Forest Whitaker, Jane Seymour, Bethany Mota and William H. Macy.

The unite4:humanity event serves as a pre-cursor to the conference4:change, which will take place on March 14 at the University of Southern California, and will explore ways in which media makers can integrate and inspire social change through their projects. Hosted by unite4:good, Variety and USC’s Media Institute for Social Change, the conference will bring together writers, producers, directors, actors, musicians and studio, network and broadcast executives into discussions and breakout groups aimed at transforming the enthusiasm for change generated at unite4:humanity into measurable action.

The VIP pre-reception featured an incredible live auction of a vintage 1936 Lincoln V’12 Model K Boat-Tail Roadster, also Known As The Howard Hughes “Aero-Mobile”. This one of a kind is valued at $3.8 million dollars and the bidding began at $2.1 million.
