Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Are Officially Husband and Wife

Congratulations are in order for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: Hollywood’s hautest couple married over the weekend in Chateau Miraval, France.

A spokesperson for the couple confirmed that the two were officially man and wife, and that they wed on Saturday in a small ceremony attended only by close friends and family at a 1000-acre wine château not far from Aix-en-Provence (they love the spot so much that they even named their wine label after it). 

The couple’s children— Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 6, all participated in the wedding.

The two have been together now for nine years; they started dating in 2005 after meeting on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and officially confirmed their relationship in January 2006 when Angelina confirmed she was having Pitt’s biological child (Shiloh).

This is Pitt’s second marriage—he was married to Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005—and the third for Jolie, who was first married to Jonny Lee Miller from 1996 to 1999, and then Billy Bob Thornton from 2000 to 2003.
