Shutters On the Beach Snaps Up Tesla S as New House Car

Shutters on The Beach is offering an eco-friendly alternative to guests looking to be squired around town in a luxury car: the haute, highly coveted Tesla Model S.

The purchase of a Tesla is fitting for the seafront hotel, as its Santa Monica location is among the most environmentally friendly of Los Angeles towns.

Shutters is the first hotel in LA to offer rides in the highly anticipated auto, a 2014 S P85. As the hotel’s house car, it will be available for guests to enjoy on a complimentary basis for drop-off service for those seeking to eat, shop, and drink around Santa Monica.

Hotel guests will ride in style. The car has a chic black exterior and white leather seats, and features Wi-Fi, a built-in tablet, blacked out rear windows, sport  wheels and tires, and Internet radio. Those who want to book it need only to contact the hotel concierge to book a ride.

Tesla’s Model S is the world’s first premium electric sedan designed from the ground up as an electric
car and has the greatest range available in the market.
