Ian Schrager, the famed hotelier, real estate developer and co-founder of Studio 54, has announced his plans to release a coffee-table book about the infamous New York nightclub.

Known for its wild antics and A-list clientele such as Andy Warhol, Mick Jagger, Liza Minnelli, Brooke Shields, Salvador Dali, and Diana Ross, Studio 54 unequivocally revolutionized the nightlife industry in The Big Apple, making it the spot to see and be seen in the late ’70s.

“If the hunter does not tell the story, the lion will,” Schrager told the New York Post after revealing his plans to publish the book in 2015.

The 67-year-old Brooklyn native is currently contacting the photographers who regularly chronicled the nightclub and also interviewing past regulars including Clive Davis, Sandy Gallin, Liz Smith, Bob Colacello, Carlos Souza, Lynn Wyatt and Tom Ford.
