Celebrating Rare Craftsmanship at Per Se with The Balvenie

Last week The American Craft Council along with The Balvenie, a unique range of handcrafted single malt Scotch whiskies, announced Douglas Brooks, Vermont Boat Builder, as the winner of the American Craft Council Rare Craft Fellowship Award in association with The Balvenie at an exclusive luncheon at Thomas Keller’s Per Se in New York City.

It was an honor to be seated next to the craftsman and his wife who were ever so humble about their award, which celebrates unique work from craftsmen who truly find the beauty in working with their hands. See their projects below:
