Evander Holyfield’s Mega Mansion Heads to the Auction Block
It’s no news that the palatial estate, Villa Vittoriosa, is no longer home to Evander Holyfield. After financial woes forced him out of the house for good in 2012, the mega mansion, which is located south of Atlanta and is the largest single family home in Georgia, has been on the market. And the price keeps dropping. First, the 50,000 square-foot estate, which boasts an indoor swimming pool, bowling alley, and a three-story foyer, was listed at $14 million. Now, a couple of years later, the Holyfield Highway mansion complete with 105 acres of land will be sold to the highest bidder at auction. The auction will run from November 11 through November 13 and will start at $2.5 million. But unless you can prove qualified funds available, don’t bother trying to place a bid. Currently, J.P. Morgan and Chase are the owners of this South Fulton palace and while the bidding may start at $2.5 million, no one will be getting a quite a deal like that. According to the listing agent, there is a reserve set for the home and J.P. Morgan will not accept any offers that don’t reach this undisclosed amount. Considering the sheer size of this piece of property and its proximity to the airport, someone is still going to get this for a steal.
Built in 1994 by the heavyweight boxing champion, this lavish home has 109 rooms, including three kitchens, five family rooms, 12 bedrooms, 13 full baths, 8 half baths and one of the largest private pools in the U.S. In fact, there is not much this estate does not have. A guest house is on the property, a 7 stall barn, a boxing gym, a recording studio and even a baseball field. While it may need some slight upgrades throughout, this is a place is meant for some lavish entertaining. You may recognize some of the pictures especially the ones of the pool, since Hollywood has filmed numerous tv shows and movies here including The Game.
