Haute 100 Update: Lenny Kravitz to Kick Off Opening Ceremony For US Open

Haute 100-lister Lenny Kravitz will get the US Open off on a rocking start as the headlining performer for the opening ceremonies August 26th.  The four-time Grammy winner will perform his hit, “Are You Gonna Go My Way?” as part of the festivities at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, which will be broadcast live on ESPN.

The ceremony will include a welcome from New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and will conclude with the singing of the national anthem by 11-year-old Frenie Acoba, currently making her Broadway debut in the hit musical Matilda.

The US Open promises it to be, “one unforgettable evening-a fitting start for tennis’ grandest slam.” The tournament is scheduled to run from August 26th through September 9th.
