Haute 100 Update: Alejandro Sanz To Receive Honorary Doctorate From Berklee College of Music

ALEJANDRO SANZ TO RECEIVE HONORARY DOCTOR OF MUSIC DEGREE

One of the most prestigious music schools in the world will present Haute 100-lister, Alejandro Sanz, with an honorary Doctor of Music degree November 6th.

Berklee College of Music will be recognizing Sanz for his numerous achievements and influence in contemporary music and for his countless contributions to international culture. Sanz has won sixteen Latin Grammys and three Grammy Awards, released 15 albums that have all reached multiple-platinum sales, and serves as an ambassador for Greenpeace, an environmental organization. Sanz, who is currently on an international tour, joins few past recipients of this honorary degree including fellow Haute 100-lister Gloria Estefan.

Following the ceremony Sanz will perform with a 40-piece Berklee student ensemble in tribute to his musical legacy. “It is a great honor for me to receive this doctorate degree from one of the most prestigious music schools in the world. I will continue to work every day of my life to deserve this honor.”
