Why Amy Poehler + Tina Fey Wanted to Host the 2013 Golden Globes
We all know that each year many stars can’t wait to be honored for both film and TV, especially with the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards set to air on Sunday, January 13, with two hosts, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
According to a video, the two hosts have very different reasons why they decided to host the 2013 Golden Globes.
“It’s a kind of very sloppy, loud party, and that seemed like our kind of thing,” Fey comically said.
Whereas Poehler says that the Golden Globes allows the “beautiful people of film to rub shoulders with horrible, disgusting people of television.”
Fey looks hopes to win Best Picture. “I, personally, would like to win Best Picture. Just me, as a person, winning Best Picture, would be unprecedented especially because I didn’t even really make a movie this year.”
The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards airs on Sunday, January 13 at 8 p.m. EST on NBC, but in the meantime watch the full interview of Fey and Poehler in the video here.
