Michael Kors Secures Store in Covent Garden

News | October 19, 2012

Michael Kors, the American womenswear brand has just added a sixth store in the UK by securing a new location in Covent Garden, London. The new property is a 2,523 square foot store. The brand currently has opened other stores in Westfield London and on Regent Street.

Michael Kors signed a deal for a 10-year lease with Lothbury Investment Management courtesy of Lothbury Property Trust. The Covent Garden store is in plans to open just in time for Christmas this year. Many can look forward to the store opening at 28 James Street.

“The Covent Garden units are one of the key assets in our portfolio and there was considerable competition for the lease, attracting a shortlist of four retailers,” said Mike Toft, senior fund manager and director of Lothbury Investment Management. “Michaels Kors is a perfect fit for this address and is in line with our policy of attracting high quality names to the prestigious properties in the Lothbury portfolio.”
