News | May 16, 2012

MICHAEL MINA San Francisco, the restaurant collection’s signature destination, has proudly announced a new monthly wine program “Hometown Heroes”, curated and headed by chief sommelier Josiah Baldivino. “Hometown Heroes” will pay homage to one California winery each month.

The new wine program will begin this month with the notable Copain Wines winery of Healdsburg, and will continue throughout the year. Baldivino will offer a white and red wine by-the-glass from each winery, as well as a vertical series featuring California’s top library wines.

The renowned MICHAEL MINA San Francisco was recently named Esquire’s “Restaurant of the Year” and Zagat’s 2012 Top Newcomer, as well a recipient of a 2012 Michelin star. Josiah Baldivino is a highly-esteemed sommelier, earning titles such as one of Wine & Spirits’ “Best New Sommeliers 2011”.
