The 55th Annual Red Cross Ball took place at the Mar-a-Lago club Jan. 28, and the evening, as expected, was all done up in red.

Down to the deep red tablecloths, which were done by Boston-based designer Bryan Rafanelli (who designed Chelsea Clinton’s wedding dress). He paired them with the club’s gold-rimmed china and patterned silver flatware. Gigantic paper-made roses served as centerpieces.

Red velvet ropes lined the traditional diplomatic receiving line, and then there was they fiery red dance floor.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Michele Kessler, three-time chairwoman of the Red Cross Ball and Global Ambassador for the Red Cross’ Measles Initiative. That and Donald Trump’s donation of $50,000 to the organization, to which all proceeds benefitted the Greater Palm Beach chapter of the American Red Cross.
