Haute 100 Update: LeBron’s Newest Nikes Designed with the Military in Mind

News | October 11, 2011

The Miami Heat recently held their first training camp since superstar LeBron James joined the team last season at the Hurlburt Field and Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. As a nod to the military, James has modeled his latest shoes, Nike’s “The Cannon” edition of the LeBron 9, with a militant flair.

The training camp was held for about a week in Florida’s Panhandle, during which the players interacted with the military personnel during the camp. The shoes feature a military green color scheme with bright orange soles and laces, yellow Nike swoosh, and other militaristic detailing.

The new sneakers were debuted at midnight on Sunday, Oct. 9 exclusively in South Florida as “a sign of appreciation and respect for LeBron’s South Florida fans and community.” The shoes retail for $170.
