Haute Event: Terence Blanchard at SCFTA

For one day only, two of the biggest names in jazz will come together at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a one-time performance. For the first time at the Center, Branford Marsalis and Terence Blanchard will bring their signature sound to the stage, so you’ll definitely want to get tickets to this special afternoon show April 3 at 2:00 p.m..

Grammy-winner Marsalis is a saxophonist, composer, producer and leads “one of the most complete and compelling ensembles in jazz,” according to the Washington Examiner. His partner in crime Blanchard is considered one of the most influential jazz musicians (and film score masters) of his generation and he’ll be performing with his quintet of musicians. Both are seen as members of a jazz legacy that has shaped modern jazz, making the performance at the Center one you won’t want to miss. They’ll be performing hits and standards together, but if you know jazz you’ll know that there are sure to be some unexpected surprises.
