What Makes Them Haute Now: Award-winning actor Harrison Ford was honored by the world-renowned children’s medical charity, Operation Smile. Ford received The John Connor Humanitarian Service Award at the charity’s Ninth Annual Smile Gala on Sept. 24 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The John Connor Humanitarian Service Award is presented to individuals who have acted on their concern and love for their fellow man. An accolade Ford earned in February 2010 when he volunteered his piloting skills to the Haiti earthquake relief effort.

Operation Smile co-founder and CEO Dr. William P. Magee presented the John Connor Humanitarian Service Award to Ford’s new wife, Calista Flockhart, in his honor.
