Sag Harbor Village Estate Breaks Records

A multi-million-dollar property in Sag Harbor Village is breaking records. The eight-bedroom, seven-bath, “Nantucket-style cottage” asking $15.995 million is in contract and expected to close, according to a source. This may not seem like an out of the ordinary price for an estate, but for the village, it is, and if it sells for anywhere near the asking price, it will topple over any previous sale in the area by millions. The 8,200-square-foot house is represented by broker Tara Newman of Saunders & Associates, who was responsible for the previous village record of $6.8 million for the Hannibal French house on Main Street. The Sag Harbor Village property sits on approximately two acres and includes a putting green, gym, sauna, theater, and wine-tasting room with special air filtration specially made for cigar smokers.
