Why Young Versace Is A Favorite Of Celebrities
Versace has long been synonymous with haute couture, but what you may not realize is the fashion icon has an entire line dedicated to little ones that has quickly caught the eye of many celebrities. Perhaps it was Kaia Gerber, daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, who first garnered national attention when she landed a modeling gig with Young Versace at just 10 years old.
The high end line was created in 2012 paying homage to the label’s iconic symbols (think influences of Medusa) that have been reinterpreted with whimsical prints. Today, designers like Versace have realized the demand for a high end line for pint-size youngsters following in their celebrity parents’ footsteps.
While not everyone is blessed with Kaia’s model good looks, many other celebrities want their kids to sport the same stylish duds. The haute kid couture collection caters to youngsters from birth up to 14 years old. From fur hood satin coats, embroidered Medusa sweaters and a padded all-in-one winter suit with gloves and booties for her to playsuits, bibs and baby hats for him, the line for both boys and girls is as stylish as it is wearable. Katie Holmes has been a fan of the line dressing daughter Suri Cruise in select pieces from the luxury line.
In addition to Versace, luxury labels like Burberry, Jean Paul Gaultier and Lanvin have all dedicated a line designed just for kids.
