Teddy Ruxpin Returns!

Growing up in the ‘80s, Teddy Ruxpin was the “it” toy (which was the world’s first animatronic toy) and sold over seven million bears during its run from 1985 to 1987. It was a teddy bear…that could talk (in 13 different languages)! While that’s hardly revolutionary now in our smartphone era, Teddy Ruxpin is back!

The new model is Bluetooth enabled and features bright LCD eyes that can change into 40 different expressions (including winking), motorized mouth and touch sensor story control. The bear can sing and tell stories and comes equipped with an integrated 4GB hard drive for more content, plus compatible apps. It’s also more cuddly than the previous version. Plus, there’s a strong nostalgia factor. When I saw the cult classic at Target over the weekend, it brought back happy memories of my childhood. This will be a huge holiday hit for your toddlers.
