He completed his General Surgery residency at USC's Keck Hospital and Los Angeles General Medical Center, and his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at USC, serving as chief resident across institutions including Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, City of Hope National Cancer Center, and Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. He also completed a CIRM research fellowship at USC.
