Senen Garcia has accepted a role as an International Business Law professor at Miami Dade College. Mr. Garcia’s passion for legal matters and helping others has provided him with the privilege of spreading his knowledge in a new role, which he will take on in addition to his leadership at SG Law Group.
Throughout Mr. Garcia’s 14 years of legal experience, he has seen various cases pertaining to International Business Law. Mr. Garcia references one in particular which occurred in China pertaining to a business acquisition. “I was asked to set aside two weeks in order to handle this acquisition, which I thought was long considering everything seemed pretty straightforward,” Garcia explained. “I arrived in Beijing to meet one of the owners. He explained to me that the supposed ‘acquisition’ was actually a matter of forcing another owner out of the company by forcing him to sell. This kicked off multiple complex discussions, which demanded multiple flights throughout the country.” Eventually, all parties received a thorough explanation of the matters at hand and Mr. Garcia was able to draft a deal to buy the aforementioned owner out of the company.
This is just an example of the unique and fascinating experience Mr. Garcia will able to glean from as he shares his perspective as a professor at Miami Dade College.
Mr. Garcia’s passion for education stems from the desire to pass along two things: how to avoid mistakes that could set business and/or entrepreneurs on the wrong path and the ability to disseminate the knowledge he has acquired over the years so that other could benefit from it.
“Too often I discover that individuals do not have the knowledge to make proper decisions,” he added. “It’s not due to lack of passion or interest, but simply lacking the knowledge. My hope is that I can bring that knowledge to individuals so that they can walk away feeling the confidence to tackle those issues, as well as shortening the path to success with proper direction.”
