As we age, it’s no surprise that our skin quality can worsen with enlarged pores, texture, and lax skin. Other unwanted conditions such as redness, veins, sun damage, and age spots might appear. If you are dealing with these annoyances and are looking to restore your youthful skin, meet the Aerolase Neo Laser.

The Aerolase Neo Laser is an aesthetic medical laser that provides patients with the skin goals of their dreams. This year, Aerolase was crowned the Cosmopolitan laser of the year due to its unrivaled premium patient experience in dermatology and aesthetics. Here Haute Beauty sat down with Haute Beauty expert Dr. Kimberly N. Mascia to discuss why this laser is favored. Here’s what she had to say:

Why is the Aerolase Neo laser your favorite?

It was my first and favorite laser. It currently has over 30 FDA-approved indications as it is a true Yag laser. There are also incredible benefits including no downtime, non-invasive, no side effects, and lasting results. Additionally, it treats acne and scarring extremely well. I think it’s still the best device for skin tightening next to RF microneedling. I have even used it to treat stretch marks off label and it has demonstrated great results.

For my acne patients, I use the NeoClear laser which is a specific Aerolase Neo laser. I have seen this specific laser provide my acne patients with extremely awarding results. In addition to killing bacteria on your skin, it reduces the pore size, sebum and inflammation, which makes for more manageable acne. When we restructure the skin and treat scars we are further promoting healing and reducing the environment that encourages recurrent acne.

How does the Aerolase work?

NeoSkin’s 650-microsecond energy is a quick, tailored treatment that targets water in the dermis to stimulate collagen production, which reduces fine lines, pores and tightens skin. Then, if present, NeoSkin targets melanin and hemoglobin to clear brown pigment, clear vascular lesions, and suppress inflammation.

How does the Aerolase compare to other lasers?

The major difference from the YAG lasers is the penetration depth. Many conditions require a greater depth of treatment to address the source of the problem. With Aerolase, fewer treatments are necessary due to its capabilities.
