From the moment I wake up, I am engaged in a perpetual detox. Unfortunately, we live in a toxic world. Therefore, we must be proactive, not reactive in our journey to health and wellness. Stay ahead of the game.

Everything we consume internally to what we use externally challenges the very core of our well-being and immunity. Ultimately, our goal should be finding and practicing the optimal anti-inflammatory regimen that best suits our lifestyle.

I understand we are all different, but our common goal is to create a healthier and happier version of our existence and to be the best we have ever been.

One of the first things I stress to my patients is that food is either our medicine, or it is our poison, and we make the choice. I personally follow a plant-based diet devoid of inflammatory foods such as meat and dairy and eggs and processed sugars and artificial sweeteners/dyes/colorings. Scientific studies have shown that by following a more plant-based diet, we get the most optimal form of nutrition while prolonging longevity. Inflammation, in my professional opinion, is the root of all evil.

I avoid soda and coffee and energy drinks and gluten and start my day off with warm lemon water, then beet/celery/cilantro/ginger juice I make myself, followed by a green smoothie that consists of a banana, spinach, avocado, chia, flax, hemp, pea protein, and oat milk. I then typically intermittent fast for about 6-8 hours, staying well hydrated with water and electrolytes through the day, I will then eat a light, clean dinner. I love lentils and fresh veggies and whole grains, for example. Don’t forget that you are what you eat, and your skin is a reflection of your gut health.

I make sure to incorporate exercise and yoga and meditation daily depending on how I feel. I am very intuitive and listen to my body. I avoid harsh chemicals in skin care and hair products. I do not use toxic household cleaners. Since we live in such challenging times, we need to make every effort in staying one step ahead.

Of course, do what is best for you, but you must remember, if you do not take care of yourself now, it’ll become too late one day and the reversal of all the damage that has been done will be difficult to reverse.
