HB: What is a Brachioplasty?
A Brachioplasty is a surgical procedure that reduces excess skin and fat in the upper arm. The procedure helps reshape your upper arm to result in the appearance of smoother skin appearance and improved tone.
HB: How does a Brachioplasty procedure work?
An arm lift is the surgical removal of excess skin and fat from the under portion of the upper ar , from the underarm region down to the elbow. This surgery reduces excess sagging skin from fluctuations in weight, aging or even just hereditary causes. It also helps reduce the overall size of the upper arm by removing excess localized pockets of fat in the upper arm region.
HB: How do you help a patient reach their goal?
During the consultation, we go over the risks and benefits of the treatment. If the patient has failed efforts of lifestyle modifications, a healthy diet and exercise to help reduce the size of the upper arms, and they have sufficient excess skin, then they are an excellent candidate for this surgery.

HB: Does this require more than one treatment?
No, this should only require the one surgery for correction.
HB: Are the results permanent?
Surgical arm lift results are permanent although if the patient gains excess weight or has significant weight fluctuations over time they will develop new skin laxity in this area. It is advised that patients maintain healthy eating habits, plus exercise to maintain their surgical outcome.
