This past week, I went to Maud’s in Beverly Hills for eyelash extensions. I had been seeing so many beautiful girls with them, and figured I’d see what all the fuss was about.
For starters, Maud’s is beautiful and Victoria, the owner of Maud’s is lovely, knowledgable and informative. She spoke about how they pick the length of your eyelash extensions, and how they pick the shape to best enhance your eyes. Maud’s offers a Natural Set which is 50-70 lashes per eye ($225), and a full set which is 80-100 lashes per eye ($250)- I went somewhere in between. Choosing the length and fullness of your eyelash extensions depends on the length and fullness of your own lashes. It is suggested by professionals to seek more fullness than length. The longer the lash, the heavier the lash so if you do not have thick long lashes already, the extensions will droop if you add too much length.
The room where the eyelashes are applied is as elegant as the rest of the store. The bed is heated and you select a station of music. After laying on the bed for about an hour and a half (it felt like a spa treatment) I was given a mirror to check out my new eyelashes! I was not expecting to love them so much as I never even wear mascara because I don’t like how it looks. I was blown away by the work of Jenny Suzette the lash specialist at Maud’s of Beverly Hills. The result was natural, and beautiful. I love how I look when I get out of the shower, and when I wake up in the morning. You look refreshed, open eyed and more polished than without.
I highly recommend trying eyelash extensions, and doing so at Maud’s. I will definitely be back for my touch-up. I want to keep these for as long as I can!
Maud’s of Beverly Hills also has a Nail Salon in the back and offers a wide array of services including waxing, threading, and eyelash and eyebrow tinting.
