Given the evolving landscape of beauty treatments and advancements in technology, several procedures are poised to gain popularity in 2024. Non-invasive treatments like laser skin rejuvenation, microneedling, and popular injectables such as dermal fillers and neuromodulators are projected to maintain their popularity, thanks to their proven effectiveness and minimal recovery periods. Additionally, advancements in body contouring techniques, including non-surgical fat reduction and muscle toning procedures, are likely to see increased interest as patients seek convenient alternatives to traditional surgery. As before-and-after images become increasingly prevalent on various social media platforms, there is a growing emphasis on delivering remarkable results while prioritizing the safety and well-being of patients. The buzz around deep-plane facelifts and closed or preservation rhinoplasty is on the rise, and these procedures are expected to witness significant growth in popularity throughout 2024.

As the prevalence of medical weight loss measures rises, the demand for procedures targeting stretch marks and loose skin is expected to follow suit. Rapid weight loss frequently leads to the presence of excess skin folds and stretch marks, impacting both appearance and self-esteem. In response to this concern, body contouring, or body sculpting, emerges as a solution, surgically eliminating the residual loose skin post-weight loss and enhancing the shape and tone of the body’s tissues.
Body contouring procedures such as tummy tucks, body lifts, and breast lifts are highly personalized procedures that are tailored to the unique needs of each client. It is important to note that these procedures are not a substitute for weight loss, but rather a complement to it. Clients who undergo these procedures should be committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and maintaining their weight to ensure the best possible results. Individuals who are considering these procedures should consult with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon to explore their options and determine if it is the right choice for them.

I think the move is more towards a more natural-filled appearance with bio-regeneratives like Sculptra and Radiesse. As well as combinations of procedures such as lasers with microneedling and radiofrequency followed by stem cells and/or exosomes. These treatments are designed to invigorate collagen and elastin production, enhancing both texture and appearance while addressing discolorations. Embracing a synergistic approach to stimulate your body’s collagen and creating a more natural look is what 2024 is about.

Anticipating the beauty landscape of 2024 reveals a continued evolution towards non-invasive, natural, and technologically advanced solutions.
Firstly, the allure of non-surgical procedures is poised to escalate. Injectables like Botox and dermal fillers are poised to maintain their popularity, providing significant results minus the downtime associated with surgical interventions. Continuous refinement in these treatments promises increasingly natural-looking outcomes.
Secondly, technology-driven treatments are gaining prominence. Microcurrent facials, utilizing low-level currents to stimulate facial muscles, are gaining acclaim for their skin-toning and tightening benefits. High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and Radio Frequency (RF) skin tightening is also expected to soar in popularity, offering non-invasive approaches with promising results.
Thirdly, a surge in treatments promoting natural beauty and health from within is anticipated. Procedures leveraging the body’s own processes, such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy or “vampire facials,” are likely to trend.
Lastly, with an increased emphasis on skin health, treatments designed to protect and repair the skin from sun damage and aging, like antioxidant infusions and laser resurfacing, are forecasted to gain traction.
In summary, the beauty treatments and procedures of 2024 are poised to pivot towards non-invasiveness, technological innovation, and natural enhancements. However, a crucial reminder underscores the importance of consulting qualified professionals to ensure the safety and efficacy of any beauty procedure.

I believe in 2024 the world of aesthetics will be undergoing a paradigm shift, with a focus on enhancing natural beauty and embracing the aging process gracefully. We are witnessing a shift from the era of overfilled and artificial looks to a celebration of authenticity. Biostimulators, exemplified by Radiesse and Ulthera, are at the forefront, pioneering a reversal of the aging process that is not only effective but also seamlessly harmonizes with the natural course of aging.
These innovative treatments involve stimulating the body’s natural collagen production. Ulthera has skin tightening properties that display the look wanted with no surgery necessary. Radiesse creates protein for the skin to look as healthy as possible. This year, the spotlight is on celebrating individuality and uniqueness. These aesthetic treatments are geared towards enhancing each person’s inherent beauty, rather than conforming to a predetermined standard. It’s a new dawn for aesthetics – a time to embrace and enhance our timeless beauty.

Anticipate an exhilarating year in 2024 for aesthetics, plastic surgery, and beauty treatments, with a discernible shift towards a more natural and less “done” aesthetic. My prediction is that fat grafting procedures will maintain their popularity, propelled by advancements in techniques for fat purification and sizing. This represents the epitome of regenerative aesthetics, harnessing the rejuvenating power of our own tissues. The era of overly enhanced filler looks is waning, with a growing inclination among patients to reverse some of their filler applications, seeking a more effortlessly natural appearance.
Additionally, we are already seeing a rise in some of the more regenerative procedures, especially around the eyes, because we have seen issues with periorbital filler and swelling issues with lymphatic obstruction. One of the most exciting of these new procedures is ezGEL in the periocular areas. This innovative injectable treatment involves drawing a patient’s blood, spinning it down to PRF, and then blending it with albumin to create a natural “gel.” This unique formulation continuously releases growth factors, effectively plumping the periorbital areas and enhancing the texture of the under-eye skin. Achieving optimal results typically requires approximately two sessions in this area, offering a compelling alternative to relying solely on filler applications.

Combination Treatments: Precision in Aesthetics
One of the stand-out trends this year involves the use of combination treatments to address multiple skin concerns in a single session. A notable approach is the simultaneous treatment of browns and reds using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), followed by targeting texture issues with resurfacing lasers or microneedling radio frequency. This tailored approach ensures a comprehensive solution for various skin imperfections, providing clients with more efficient and personalized results.
Skinboosters and Injectable Hydrators: The Power of Nourishment
In 2024, we anticipate a notable rise in the popularity of advanced skin boosters and injectable hydrators that transcend conventional skincare practices. Standout innovations like Skinvive and Aquagold have garnered attention for their ability to deliver crucial vitamins and microinfusions directly to the skin. Beyond mere hydration, these treatments contribute to holistic skin health, offering individuals a radiant and revitalized complexion.
Biostimulation Beyond the Face: Neck, Chest, and Body Treatments
Biostimulation has taken a step further in 2024, extending its reach beyond facial aesthetics. Treatments focusing on the neck, chest, and various body areas have gained traction, offering a holistic approach to skin rejuvenation. This expanded scope allows individuals to address aging concerns and enhance the appearance of neglected areas, ensuring a harmonious and balanced aesthetic.
Non-Invasive Marvels: Agnes RF Redefining Facial Tightening
The demand for non-invasive treatments continues to rise, with Agnes RF emerging as a game-changer in facial tightening and rejuvenation. This innovative procedure employs radiofrequency energy bound with micro-insulated needles to stimulate fibroblasts. The result is a targeted enhancement of collagen production, leading to facial tightening, smoothening, and a lifted appearance around the eyes. Agnes RF distinguishes itself through its unparalleled combination of safety, efficacy, and minimal downtime, presenting an appealing option for individuals desiring remarkable results without the inconvenience of an extended recovery period.

Patients in their 40s and 50s are beginning to seek alternatives to minimally invasive tweaks that require lots of upkeep—like filler, for example. A face can only take so much before it starts to look overdone, so once you reach a certain point it’s time to explore other options. For this reason, we’re seeing a huge boost in more impactful procedures that last for years and years. The deep plane facelift is the perfect example of this. Not only does this procedure essentially put the aging process on hold, but recent technological advances have made it much more palatable for patients than it used to be.
I’ve personally developed a technique that eliminates the need for drains, which has been incredibly effective in reducing scarring and speeding up recovery time. Most of my patients are back to work in one week and camera-ready in two, which would have been unheard of even a few years ago. It’s an increasingly popular procedure that accounts for at least 50 percent of my business and is only gaining in popularity. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “I wish I’d done that sooner!”

Some trending topics for 2024 are regenerative aesthetics and injectable hydration. Regenerative therapy involving exosomes will continue to evolve, these are natural extracellular nanoparticles containing lipids, proteins, peptides, amino acids, and growth factors involved in cell-to-cell communication during the repair and healing process. With aging, the skin’s natural regenerative capacity tapers but can be boosted by the superficial application of exosomes to the skin after treatments that disrupt the superficial skin barrier, such as resurfacing lasers or microneedling. This creates an overall rejuvenated appearance from increased collagen production, improved wound healing, and decreased pigmentation.
Injectable moisturizers such as Skinvive also are an exciting trend that made a debut in the aesthetic market in 2023 and are likely to continue to gain popularity in 2024. Skinvive by Juvederm, is the first FDA-approved hyaluronic acid microdroplet injectable in the United States which improves skin quality by smoothing the skin and increasing hydration. Universally suitable for all skin types, this skin booster creates a long-lasting glow for as long as 6 months after treatment.

I anticipate a continued surge in facelift procedures throughout 2024, fueled by the growing influence of media and the desire for individuals to present their best selves in photos and videos. The impact of a facelift goes beyond the surface, offering personal and professional benefits.
On a personal level, a facelift often becomes a source of enhanced self-confidence, fostering a sense of rejuvenation and overall life satisfaction. Whether it’s holiday photos or wedding videos, the refreshed and more youthful appearance instills confidence that positively influences interpersonal relationships. This newfound confidence extends to professional realms, where individuals feel more energized and self-assured during speeches, meetings, and video conferences. The boost in energy contributes to a heightened sense of approachability and competence, proving advantageous in both personal and professional settings.
The current emphasis on facial aesthetics is met with accessible and minimally invasive options, thanks to advancements in medical technology and surgical techniques. Patients find reassurance in the minimal downtime associated with these procedures, allowing them to seamlessly return to their lives. Consequently, I foresee a continued rise in facelift procedures for both men and women in 2024.

In 2024, the beauty landscape is experiencing a profound transformation, marked by a remarkable rise in the adoption of regenerative treatments. Leading this revolutionary trend are exosomes, the diminutive cellular messengers, emerging as the vanguards in the pursuit of timeless beauty. These microscopic powerhouses are harnessed for their regenerative prowess, actively promoting collagen production and fostering skin rejuvenation from within.
LED light therapy, once confined to clinical settings, has now become a household name in early intervention beauty treatments. The gentle yet effective wavelengths stimulate collagen and elastin production, offering a non-invasive solution for youthful skin. Beyond the surface, these treatments delve into cellular revitalization, laying the foundation for enduring beauty.
The allure of regenerative treatments lies in their proactive approach to aging. Rather than merely addressing the symptoms, these interventions focus on preventing and reversing the signs of aging at a cellular level. It’s a paradigm shift from conventional beauty practices, embracing the philosophy that beauty begins from the inside out.
In this era of beauty enlightenment, individuals are increasingly seeking treatments that go beyond surface enhancements. The synergy of exosomes, LED therapy, and other early interventions is rewriting the narrative of aging, making beauty a celebration of vitality and resilience. As we stride into the future, the era of regenerative beauty is poised to redefine our perceptions of aging gracefully.

In 2024, we anticipate a shift away from the prevailing trends of recent years, ushering in a new era where “less is more” takes center stage. The predominant movement will embrace subtlety, with an increased focus on body contouring for refined sculpting and facial reduction techniques to achieve a slim appearance. This desire for a more natural aesthetic will manifest in heightened interest in both invasive and non-invasive procedures, marking a significant departure from the previously popularized looks.

In my forecast for 2024, I anticipate a surge in the popularity of the “natural” aesthetic. Observing the beginnings of this trend, I foresee a significant shift towards embracing a more natural beauty look rather than an overly augmented or manipulated appearance. In the realm of surgical procedures, I predict a preference for smaller breast implants, with an increased interest in fat transfer to the breasts. The facelift trend is already moving towards a more natural, less pulled appearance. On the non-surgical front, while fillers and Botox will maintain their popularity, I anticipate a departure from the overfilled look characterized by exaggerated lips and round cheeks. Instead, I foresee a rise in demand for facial balancing procedures that enhance facial contours with subtle yet meaningful changes.

The evolving landscape of aesthetic treatments in 2024 is marked by a shift towards more informed choices. Patients are becoming increasingly knowledgeable about facial rejuvenation, recognizing the potential drawbacks of excessive filler injections. The risk of an “over-filled face” and complications like long-term lymphatic obstruction has prompted a growing awareness among individuals. Consequently, a notable trend is emerging as patients opt for well-executed face and neck lifts instead.
Interestingly, this shift is not only in response to aging concerns but also a proactive approach among those in their 40s. Recognizing the impact of delayed action on facial skin elasticity, more individuals are choosing face and neck lifts earlier in life. The understanding is that waiting too long can compromise the naturalness and longevity of the results. Complementing these procedures, the integration of fat grafting in facial areas is gaining traction. This technique proves valuable in restoring lost volume, serving as an effective enhancement to the modern facelift. As aesthetics continue to advance, the emphasis is on strategic choices that prioritize both natural outcomes and long-term well-being.

The worldwide obesity epidemic is the largest treatable public health crisis we are facing. Previously, bariatric surgery has been the best option for patients who struggled with traditional weight loss methods like diet and exercise. However, there are exciting new options for the treatment of this disease. We’re talking about the semaglutide drug initially designed to address type 2 diabetes but is currently being promoted for weight loss. While I believe that bariatric surgery remains a crucial component in obesity treatment, these drugs have provided an alternative for individuals hesitant about or ineligible for surgery, broadening access to effective weight management solutions.
With the increasing popularity and effectiveness of semaglutide weight loss drugs like Ozempic, we will be seeing increasing demand for body contouring procedures. These procedures, broadly speaking, are skin-tightening surgeries for the breast, trunk, arms, and legs. Unfortunately, no amount of dieting or exercise will address loose skin after massive weight loss. Fortunately, body contouring procedures offer a great long-term solution to this problem for both men and women. These procedures are some of my favorites to perform because of the high patient satisfaction. These procedures typically mark the final stages of a long weight loss journey for our patients and can be truly transformative.

The new year has been bringing lots of challenges to our patients, and financially, many things may take a back seat for a while. Emphasizing the significance of dentistry and oral health, it’s crucial to note that sustaining a healthy smile doesn’t have to come at a high cost. Our recommendation is to schedule an annual checkup with your dentist for a comprehensive examination and a thorough cleaning of your teeth and gums.
Restorative dentistry, while often pursued for cosmetic enhancement, goes beyond mere aesthetics. Aligning teeth to their proper shape and position not only elevates their visual appeal but also enhances functionality. This dual impact not only improves immediate dental function but also ensures long-term success and optimal oral health.
Cosmetic dentistry is usually thought of as elective, but by design, you are protecting and increasing the lifespan of the teeth when the treatment is done correctly. We advise patients to seek out a dentist with expertise in this area, emphasizing that this is not a situation to compromise on for the sake of a lower price. Opting for a practitioner with whom you feel comfortable is crucial, particularly when financial constraints are not an issue. Satisfaction with the results is paramount, as complications or the necessity for revisions can prove more costly in the long run, with potential limitations and consequences for your oral health. It’s best to prioritize getting it right the first time!

As the new year unfolds, it marks a pivotal moment when individuals prioritize their health and well-being, directing their attention toward what truly matters in their lives. Coming off of the holidays, where we tend to prioritize sharing with our loved ones, January brings about a renewed sense of self-improvement. In our particular industry of ophthalmology, we have a huge increase in people interested in LASIK eye surgery. The convergence of cutting-edge laser and LASIK technologies, coupled with a growing aspiration for a life free from reliance on aids like contact lenses and glasses, has not only reshaped perceptions but also eradicated apprehensions surrounding LASIK eye surgery.

I anticipate an increased prominence of regenerative medicine modalities in the aesthetics industry in 2024. Noteworthy advancements, such as radio-frequency microneedling with Morpheus8, focused radio-frequency devices, and the utilization of exosomes, have already made significant contributions. While surgical procedures retain their distinct purpose and demand, societal inclination towards natural approaches for age reversal and youth restoration is becoming more pronounced.
Additionally, there is a growing awareness of modalities addressing common symptoms affecting both women and men, encompassing issues like urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction. For women, I predict the Morpheus 8V and VTONE treatment on the EMPOWER RF platform will be a must-have in 2024. As awareness of these modalities expands, I foresee a breaking down of barriers and a diminished sense of shame, fostering a more open dialogue about these conditions. Individuals will likely feel increasingly comfortable acknowledging their struggles and embracing non-surgical modalities for correction and overall enhancement of their quality of life, intimacy wellness, and self-confidence.
