The master esthetician of 25 years says, “Your face is the first people notice,” “Investing in a routine and use of good products are essential.” Two of my clients; who recently married a week apart from each other in October. Committed themselves for more than a year and did not miss a beat. I love them both and their diversities are amazingly stunning. One is Indian descent and the other is Japanese and Mexican who both married different nationalities of their own. A lot of methodical details were involved in planning both weddings as inclusivity was a must for them. It’s already a given that both brides will have breathtakingly gorgeous children!

Clients who are preparing for a wedding or a special event must be prepared for the journey of seeing me frequently. One of the most important things I discuss with my clients are their eating and lifestyle habits. Constant touching/picking skin, Triggering foods, alcohol, smoking, sun exposure, ingredients, or preservatives could be the root cause of what’s happening externally with their skin. Then we discuss their home regimen and do a process of elimination to see if a product in their routine is causing irritation.
Once we have cleared those two chapters it’s down to facial business. Exfoliation and deep pore cleansing are imperative in every facial. They are the steps to starting with a clean slate. After those steps, we can now focus on specific treatments like hydration, sculpting, LED light therapy, lifting, and so on.

After results are achieved and the skin is healthy, glowing, and dewy. Here are Lisa’s recommendations for a stellar glow when getting close to a special event. A facial up to 24 hours before event day (only if you have already been committed to a regular facial routine for at least 6-12 months). Reduce makeup wear, drink plenty of water, get a good 8 hrs of sleep daily, stay completely out of the sun, and stay away from last-minute changes with the use of skincare products. It’s not the time to try something new because a salesperson tells you. And lastly, whether it’s an event or not, don’t do what your family members or friends are telling you to do.
