Bee-lieve it or not, there’s a hive of activity going on at Gisou! The buzz is all about Bee Season, which is the perfect time to celebrate the amazing honey bee and its vital role in our ecosystem. Negin Mirsalehi and her sister, Negar, the Gisou Beekeeper-in-Chief, are leading the charge to honor six generations of beekeeping traditions in the Mirsalehi family and raise awareness about sustainable beekeeping practices.
As the days get longer and warmer, the honey bees at Gisou are getting ready for a busy work season, and the Gisou team is right there with them. They spend weekends in the Mirsalehi Bee Garden, tending to the bees and harvesting excess honey, and they also hold events and activations to raise awareness about the importance of bees.
The Bee Season celebration kicked off on April 11th and lasts through September, which is Honey Month. And to show their commitment to sustainably-sourced honey, Gisou is excited to announce the debut of a new Bee Garden in the Netherlands in 2023. This space will be an educational hub for beekeepers and those interested in learning about beekeeping practices.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there! This year, Gisou brought the Mirsalehi Bee Garden to sunny Los Angeles to kick off the global Bee Season celebration. The Los Angeles community had the chance to meet Negin and participate in a one-of-a-kind customization experience centered around Gisou’s viral Honey Infused Lip Oil (which is currently on everyone’s lips), now available at Sephora. So what are you waiting for? Join the hive and celebrate Bee Season with Gisou!
