Finding your signature scent is like a crossword puzzle, it’s not easy. You have to keep spraying perfumes into thin air to hope that one day that small whiff of scent will stick just enough for you to buy it. As odd as that might sound, it’s true. Ask any person you know, no one messes around when it comes to finding their trademark scent.

For some, they find that perfume at an early age, while for others it takes a ton of time and trying. Understanding the task at hand, we at Haute Beauty decided to search out the scent of all scents, the one that stole our hearts (and the one’s who smelled it.) After some trying, we found the one. Parfums de Marly’s new signature fragrance, Valaya.

The inspiration behind Valaya dates back to the 18^th century. Cotton was an innovative fabric that women didn’t just love but adored. Wearing several layers of petticoats, the one closest to the skin was referenced as “le secret,” which is referenced as the secret ingredient in the perfume, the one that hooks you into using it forever.

The Valaya is one of true elegance. From the white and clean-looking décor of the 75ml bottle to the mix of delicious ingredients, you’ll soon grasp why we chose this to be the one. The top notes of the fragrance comprise of bergamot, mandarin, and white peach, along with the noble wood, vanilla, and warm facets of amber. This mix makes for a fresh scent, one that is clearly irresistible.
