Supermodel and cool girl extraordinaire, it’s safe to say Kate Moss is the ‘it’ girl of the century. Looking at her today, you wouldn’t even know she’s a day over 25. At 48, she somehow has managed to maintain her youth and beauty – whatever it is she’s selling, we’re definitely buying. And to our relief, she let Vogue.com in on all her coveted wellness tricks and beauty secrets.
The style icon was originally known as an all-time party girl back in the 90s. Since then, she’s swapped drinking champagne for practicing yoga and meditation. Recently, she’s launched her own wellness brand, Cosmoss, a six product line that includes vegan skincare and mood-boosting teas. Moss tells Vogue, “I was taking better care of myself, I was trying new things all of this stuff that can make you more grounded and balanced, so that’s what I wanted to bring into my products.”
The British model’s morning routine begins with a cup of her Cosmoss Dawn Tea, “It wakes you up; it’s good for aligning your system and is a substitute for lemon water, which is apparently really bad for your teeth. It just brings peace and calm to the start of my day.” She then moves to a cleanser, followed by a rose water toner, then her Cosmoss Face Cream. “It’s very healing [the face cream]. Friends of mine that I gave it to who have eczema and are allergic to smells – it’s a very delicate smell – they can really use it. So, I was very happy about that feedback.” She rounds out her morning ritual by using a gua sha across her face to sculpt and drain her face. She shares that she recently incorporated sunscreen as part of her routine per her daughter Lila’s orders, “Lila probably has more of a skin-care routine than I do and she’s very good at makeup and things.”
Moving onto her makeup routine, Moss says, “I have to say, I’m not very high maintenance when it comes to doing my makeup.” She tells Vogue that she uses two different shades of Charlotte Tillbury’s Concealer to even out her complexion and Hourglass Bronzer for a little bit of color. “I’ve always liked makeup, but I was from the days of grunge, so it was just a bit of black eyeliner and some lipstick patted on the cheek.” She goes onto curl her lashes with an eyelash curler, uses a brow gel to fill her brows, and adds a rosy tint to her lips. She completes her signature look with her iconic undone hair with a little bit of texture mist all over. The star is officially ready to take on her day.
