Whether it is a matter of downtime, recovery or you simply are not ready for facial surgery.

Typically, when we think of plastic surgery, the mind wanders to women and cosmetic procedures that help them abide by societal standards or boost their confidence; however, that isn’t always the case. Men also look for ways to freshen up their look with cosmetic procedures as signs of aging begin to surface. Navigating the many cosmetic procedures available can be extremely time-consuming, so we’re sharing a popular option among me looking for a freshened-up look and some more definition in their profile, the “Executive Edge.”

Haute Beauty expert Dr. Earl Stephenson of Prima Center for Plastic Surgery helped us break down the most popular suite of procedures for men to guide anyone in deciding what cosmetic procedure would be the best fit. Here’s everything you need to know, from planning to the procedure.

What is “The Executive Edge”?

The “Executive Edge” combines a suite of procedures to minimize the signs of stress and aging in men. This includes wrinkle relaxers, wrinkle fillers, skin rejuvenation, and facial surgery. While these are the typical elements in the “Executive Edge,” each plan is personalized for the individual based on their unique needs.

Rejuvenation starts with Xeomin, an injected wrinkle relaxer that helps smooth the appearance of fine lines. Then the hallow areas on the face are corrected with fillers, often containing collagen and hyaluronic acid or fat in the case of a fat transfer. For an overall improved look of the skin, many men opt to also receive skin resurfacing treatments. These can be combined with a chemical peel or dermabrasion. Since skin is such a focal point on the face, this step can be one of the most critical hurdles in regaining confidence.

On the more abrasive side of procedures is facial surgery. For a more dramatic effect, some men will undergo brow lift surgery or eyelid surgery to lift the face and give an “awakened” look. If the patient’s area of insecurity is their profile, chin augmentation might also be suggested for a more defined, masculine profile.

Given the customizable nature of the treatment, timing varies quite a bit from patient to patient. Most procedures will typically require some downtime following treatment, so plan accordingly. To all men looking to add an edge to their look with cosmetic procedures, book a consultation with Dr. Stephenson today.
