The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, is recognized as the world’s leading organization devoted entirely to aesthetic plastic surgery and cosmetic medicine of the face and body. The Aesthetic Society is comprised of over 2,600 Plastic Surgeons; Active Members are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (USA) or by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and have extensive training in the complete spectrum of surgical and nonsurgical aesthetic procedures. International Active Members are certified by equivalent boards of their respective countries. All members worldwide adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and must meet stringent membership requirements. HB: What are the credentials you need to be a part of the society?
AE: U.S. plastic surgeons require board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery plus significant plastic surgery procedural experience with a proven record of safety and good outcomes. All credentials are scrutinized, including medical license, training, legal history, hospital affiliations, advertising campaigns and peer reviews.

HB: What are the benefits of being a part of the Aesthetic society?
AE: Networking with some of the best and most innovative aesthetic surgeons. Another huge benefit is having a platform to share research while brainstorming ideas to improve the quality and safety of aesthetic procedures I perform on a daily basis.
HB: What sparked your interest in joining the society?
AE: I always considered it an honor to be accepted as a member of the most prestigious aesthetic surgery society.
HB: What are you looking forward to most?
AE: I am most looking forward to engaging with the latest research and innovation in the aesthetic plastic surgery specialty.
