The key to living a wholesome life is maximizing good health and your well-being. To reach your greatest potential, you will explore different skills that guide you through your day-to-day problems. Due to the abundance of tools out there, Haute Beauty sat down with Haute Beauty experts to weave out the wellness modules they practice and preach to their patients. Here’s what they had to say:
Dr. Deepa Verma | Integrative Anti-Aging | Tampa/St.Petersburg
I will have to be a bit of a rebel and change it from 3 to 4. Why? Because I have 4 distinct pillars of a healthy lifestyle to balance mind-body-spirit.
Clean diet. I am a plant-based physician and guide patients to eat anti-inflammatory foods while reducing the consumption of meat and dairy and processed foods. Science and medicine have proven from research and with the ways our bodies are constructed, that following a more plant-based diet improves the quality of life by increasing longevity and preventing chronic diseases such as obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, mental illness, leaky gut, autoimmune disorders and more. Food is your medicine, or your poison, your choice.
Exercise & activity. Movement is key to maintaining good bone density and muscle mass. Exercise also keeps your brain sharp and helps with circulation and inflammation while releasing endorphins which improve mood. Get motivated to get up and move.
Restorative sleep. Sleep is medicine, just like healthy food. Sleep is critical for the body to shut down and repair itself. The circadian rhythm exists for a reason. It allows us to rejuvenate and regenerate from the stressors of the day. Lack of sleep provokes hormonal imbalance, mood disorders, inflammation, adrenal fatigue and so much more. Get your zzzz’s.
Stress reduction. Stress and inflammation are the roots of all evil that occurs in the mind-body-spirit axis. Small amounts of stress are normal, but when it overwhelms the brain and body, the fight-or-flight mechanisms are perpetually turned on which inflicts great damage. Knowing how to effectively manage stress by meditation, deep breaths, or any activity that brings you peace and joy is crucial. Make time for yourself. Take time to unwind, or it will be too late.

The 3 wellness modules that I follow and recommend to our customers and patients are:
Get enough SLEEP! It does not matter how long and how much you meditate and how many green smoothies you drink and how many miles per day you run if you don’t get enough sleep. Sleep is essential for your brain and mind to recover from everyday life and for your body to rejuvenate and refuel.
Skincare ritual! Not routine but I really like to call it a ritual. Make it a habit and a fun activity to take just 5 min in the morning and evening to take care of yourself. Wash your face, moisturize with serum and rich cream and as needed SPF and put some lipgloss/lip balm and you are done! You will feel and look refreshed, hydrated and rejuvenated. My favorite is obviously EpiLynx.
Take time for yourself! This is so important. I can’t emphasize enough the happiness you will feel when you just focus on yourself and give yourself time to do whatever you want to do, forgive yourself, indulge yourself and not feel guilty about it. See, when we fly on a plane, they always tell us to put our masks first before we attend to a child. This is the same, you can’t give love to anyone if you don’t pour some love into yourself first! Do whatever makes you happy: walk outside, eat chocolates, read magazines, take a bath, ANYTHING! The only rule is that it needs to be just for YOU!

Liquid IV Therapy | Health & Wellness | Miami/Ft. Lauderdale
Stay Hydrated! Drink 8, to feel great! We all know that drinking 8 glasses of water certainly has health benefits. From our digestive system to lubricating our joints, helping our kidneys excrete waste, regulating our body temperature, to keeping our skin healthy, staying hydrated is essential. When I stay hydrated, my skin glows, I get fewer headaches, and have more energy. I just feel better!
Being a mom plus running a company, certainly keeps me busy. All moms know how crazy your day can get. I multi-task as much as possible just to gain a few minutes of time; therefore, drinking 8 glasses of water usually gets ignored. So, now, I set an alarm on my phone to remind myself to consume my 8 cups of water throughout the day.
My nurses and I advise our patients that by the time you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated. Drinking water throughout the day is the key to reaping the health benefits of hydration. Drink 8 to stay great! What’s a great test to know if you’re hydrated? Look at your urine. Light yellow is the goal.
Listen to your BODY! Our nurses are constantly being asked by our sick patients once they receive an IV, “How soon can I get going again?” Don’t overdo it. Get plenty of rest. Let yourself rest to allow your body to heal. If you are feeling under the weather or trying to fight some type of virus, you need to listen to your body. If you’re having symptoms, there must be a reason.
Take time for yourself! Honestly, this is one that I struggle with personally, but I realize how important it is to self-correct immediately and take a timeout for myself. As a working mom, I instinctively tend to put myself last; however, when I do, it seems that everyone else suffers too. “Mommy is not happy.” Finding moments for myself is key to feeling happy and balanced- exercising, getting an IV, getting a massage, doing my nails, playing tennis, etc. Little moments here and there add up.
We love hearing from our patients how IV Therapy can feel so therapeutic to them. It’s 30 mins to use, just FOR YOU. Being mindful of the essential vitamins and minerals entering your body and taking a moment to center yourself and relax, is key to staying balanced and calm.
