We are in the flesh of flu season. According to the Center for Disease Control, flu season occurs in the fall and wintertime aka right now! As we fully emerge in this time, Haute MD expert Dr. Vineet Sandhu shares his input on preventative measures that can be taken other than receiving the flu shot. Here is what Dr. Sandhu had to say:

Get your flu shot! We are lucky it’s provided in this country with our modern technology and state-of-the-art services! If not, wear a mask and practice safe distancing, eat outside as much as possible, and don’t go out into public when sick! October-February are the busiest months for me as I see the sickest patients from viruses/infections, pneumonia, CHF, Asthma, and COPD exacerbation. If you can prevent yourself from being a part of the healthcare system as a patient with a preventative flu shot then I don’t see why not especially if you are in a high-risk category.
