Now, the comfortable shapewear you wear at home can be strutted on the runway. On Monday, Kim Kardashian West announced the arrival of Fendi x SKIMS, the limited edition collection that combines the innovation of her shapewear brand SKIMS and the luxury of Italian fashion house Fendi.
Launching Nov. 9, the collection will feature an array of form-fitting dresses (starting at $950) and tops ($1,100), leggings and a puffer jacket ($2,950) all in time for the winter season. In addition, the signature SKIMS shapewear and undergarments will also experience a Fendi makeover by featuring printed designs of the collaboration logo. Finally, Kardashian West couldn’t miss this opportunity to throw in a logo-printed swimsuit and leather wrap dress ($4,200 and comes in eight shades) as part of the upcoming collection.

The friendship between the 41-year-old multihyphenate and Fendi artistic director Kim Jones — both will be recognized in the WSJ. Magazine 2021 Nov. Innovator issue — inspired the collection after Jones heard women in his office rave about SKIMS, which prompted Kardashian West to send “him a bunch.” In December of last year, the two began discussing a collaboration and started meeting up in March for fitting sessions, where Kardashian West served as the fit model for the collection.
Though Kardashian West will be celebrated at the annual Innovator Awards — which honors inspiring talents from diverse cultural pursuits — on Nov. 1, she ensured to credit her estranged husband Kanye West with influencing her brand. “Kanye will always be the most inspirational person to me,” she told WSJ. Magazine. “He has a piece of Skims himself and gives [the team] inspiration but also information. I think he enjoys the process.”
