Photo Credit: ShutterstockPop singer-songwriter Halsey has become synonymous with the image of a bold, brave, and beautiful musician. Fans of the candid celebrity, born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, are familiar with her transparency surrounding her health concerns after suffering from endometriosis and multiple miscarriages as depicted in her song, “More.”
Despite her tragic difficulties, earlier this year, Halsey shared the celebratory announcement of her pregnancy with producer Alev Aydin and on July 14, the duo brought their new bundle of joy named Ender Ridley Aydin into the world. A month following the birth of Ender, Halsey is now offering her 25.7 million followers a glimpse into her postpartum life and experience as a new parent.

In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week last week, Halsey uploaded an image breastfeeding her newborn baby outdoors. The photo captured the 26-year-old artist with a contented smile on her face while preciously cradling her child. She wrote in the caption, “We arrived just in time!”
Additionally, Halsey has also received praise for sharing a photo of her stomach with postpartum stretch marks. This picture is fifth in a carousel post of various baby home décor and related images. The caption reads, “Well…this is what it [looks] like.” As a bold display of her unfiltered body is not atypical for the contemporary musician, fans are still applauding her transparent nature as she shares her beautiful experience with childbirth and what follows.

Mere days before welcoming Ender, the new mother announced the cover art for her upcoming album titled, “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power” due for release on August 27. The collection of songs will explore the “joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth.” In an explanation of the cover photo in which Halsey bares her breast with the baby sitting on her lap, references are made to “the dichotomy of the Madonna and the Whore.” She explains, “The idea that me as a sexual being and my body as a vessel and gift to my child are two concepts that can co-exist peacefully and powerfully. My body has belonged to the world in many different ways the past few years, and this image is my means of reclaiming my autonomy and establishing my pride and strength as a life force for my human being.”
