Haute Beauty: What is NeckTite?

NeckTite is an FDA-cleared minimally invasive skin rejuvenation that uses radiofrequency energy (a kind of “laser” energy) underneath the skin to induce collagen production, which ultimately translates into neck skin tightening.

NeckTite is frequently combined with chin liposuction (double chin surgery) to enhance liposuction results and prevent neck skin sagging in patients with poor skin elasticity.

HB: What areas does NeckTite treat?

NeckTite can treat most neck areas like the double chin, the entire anterior neck skin, jowls, and jawline.

HB: What are the benefits of this procedure?

NeckTite is frequently an alternative to traditional neck lifts in patient candidates (e.g., patients with laxity of neck skin and minimal platysma bands) who would like to rejuvenate their neck without large incisions required on a neck lift procedure.

The procedure is minimally invasive, so the incisions are tiny and inconspicuous. The healing process is fast and is generally associated with few days of swelling and minimal bruising if any.

I routinely perform NeckTite under local anesthesia without pain, with the patient completely awake in the outpatient office setting. Post-procedure NeckTite patients experience minimal discomfort and sometimes mild numbness skin treated for few days.

The results of NeckTite can last up to 4 to 5 years.

HB: When can the results of NeckTite be seen?

The initial results of NeckTite can be seen after one week. As time passes and collagen production increases, the results start to become more evident. At 10 to 12 weeks post-procedure, approximately 70 percent of the results are noticeable. Most patients express they see great results between 4 to 6 months post-procedure. It is essential to know that the results of NeckTite continue to improve up to one-year post-treatment.

HB: Is it common for other rejuvenation treatments to be combined with NeckTite?

NeckTite is commonly combined with other procedures that enhance the results of NeckTite. In my practice, I combine NeckTite with Morpheus8 or Fractora RF, complementary minimally invasive procedures that deliver radiofrequency energy to the skin through microneedles for skin tightening. The combination of NeckTite with Morpheus 8 or Fractora RF significantly increases the tightening of the neck skin.

NeckTite is also often combined with chin liposuction or double chin surgery, especially in patients with poor neck skin elasticity prone to develop saggy skin after chin liposuction alone.

NeckTite can also be combined with other procedures like FaceTite and AccuTite, similar FDA-cleared radiofrequency-based minimally invasive skin rejuvenation and tightening procedures for the flower face, smile lines (nasolabial folds), and lower lids.

HB: How many treatments are needed?

Generally, patients require only one NeckTite procedure to rejuvenate and tighten their neck skin. Several months after the initial procedure, a touch-up might be necessary for very few patients with excessive skin laxity.

HB: How long do the results last before you need to seek treatment again?

The results of NeckTite can last between 4 to 5 years. Patients can help maintain the results of NeckTite by applying SPF (sunblock lotion) daily, moisturizing the neck skin, and avoiding smoking. Patients can also support the results of NeckTite by undergoing serial non-invasive radiofrequency-based skin tightening procedures like Forma and Forma Plus.
