Just like Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot does it all: She’s a Hollywood star, a major head in a production company, and a devoted family member. But despite her bustling lifestyle, the 36-year-old Israeli actress doesn’t abandon her self-care rituals. “Wellness is such an essential part of my life because the better I feel, the better I look, the better I am,” she told Shape. That said, read on to discover the four wellness rituals that Gadot does to maintain her beauty on the inside and outside.
1. Practicing Meditation & Getting Sleep
The secret to a delightful mind and appearance? Getting enough quality sleep, and Gadot certainly achieves this. Additionally, she likes to feel present with herself through meditation. “It’s funny how the people who could really benefit from meditation are often the ones who can’t find the time to do it,” she said. Balance your chakras using the Headspace app just like Gadot, who said “it’s quick, it’s easy to use.”
2. Staying Hydrated
In the wise words of Gadot: “I wake up and drink water like a camel.” Remaining hydrated not only maximizes physical performance but also significantly affects one’s energy levels and brain functions. Indeed, the actress drinks lots of water throughout the day, especially while working out and before bed. “I have a full, chilled bottle of Smartwater+ Clarity before coffee or anything else. I find it crisp, refreshing, delicious – I crave it,” she said. “My family and I tasted all the latest Smartwater+ flavors, and Clarity was our favorite. We’re drinking much more water than we otherwise would be.”
3. Sticking To Fitness
To keep her superhero strength in check, Gadot remains dedicated to a simple fitness routine. “I like to do interval training, and I’m super grateful that I can do those workouts in my gym at home,” she said. “I try to get to it every day, but sometimes it’s more like three to four times a week. It’s been a bit challenging to carve out the time with the family at home.”
4. Savoring Nutrient-Rich Food
Naturally, Gadot realizes the importance of fueling her body with healthy foods. “I’ll never forget what a fitness trainer explained: Even if you work out for two hours a day, there are a lot of hours left to eat. So the foods you choose are important,” she said. “I’m all about the Mediterranean diet. I love to cook it, and I enjoy eating it too.” Indeed, this actress continues to inspire us.
