Known for her appearance in films like BlacKkKlansman and Spider-Man: Homecoming, Laura Harrier has captured her fair share of attention with her radiant looks. A model since the age of 17, she’s no stranger to the makeup chair. But around her late twenties, Harrier began struggling with cystic acne and developed a serious skincare routine.
The 31-year-old model’s skincare routine begins in the morning when she rinses off her KORA Organics Sleeping Mask with water and a fresh muslin cloth. “I keep a whole stack of them in my bathroom because I feel like washcloths and towels scratch my face a little bit,” Harrier told Vogue. Next, she massages her cleanser into her skin to help stimulate lymphatic drainage and de-puff her face.
For toner, Harrier opts for Biologique Recherche’s Lotion P50 1970, which she dilutes on a wet cotton pad before applying to the face and neck so it doesn’t irritate her skin (the product can feel quite strong). Then, she follows with a Clarins eye cream and a set of serums: Biologique Recherche’s Placenta Repairing Serum and the IS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum Advance Plus.
For sun protection, the model applies Control Corrective Skin Care Systems Oil-Free Sunscreen SPF 30. “As a woman of color, it’s so hard to find a sunscreen that doesn’t make me look grey or ashy or leave a weird film on my face…This brand doesn’t do that at all,” Harrier said. To finish her skincare, she applies a veil of orange blossom water (a type of facial mist) on her face, which she found at a pharmacy in Paris.

As for her makeup routine, Harrier begins by applying lip balm and dotting a Rare Beauty foundation across her face. “I remember when I was younger and I was modeling, it was insane how many people couldn’t match my skin tone,” she said. “I remember crying on set.” As she blended in the product, Harrier spoke of her gratitude toward brands like Fenty and Rare Beauty for their shade inclusivity, which has helped makeup artists better match foundation to her skin tone.
After applying Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Away Concealer under her eyes, Harrier brushes through her brows with Glossier’s Boy Brow. And using only her fingers, she gently rubs in her contour, highlighter, and cream blush for an added glow. For the eyes, she warms her lid with a matte copper eyeshadow from Fenty and smudges a Huda Beauty eyeliner around the rims of her eyes. She finishes her eye look with Glossier’s Lash Slick mascara.
To amplify her pout, Harrier smears a brown Urban Decay liner for a lipstick look. Finally, she applies Fenty’s lip gloss for extra shine. “I was really anti-lipgloss for a long time. But then I discovered this and I love it,” she said.
