Dr. Morad Askari is a board-certified plastic surgeon with over a decade of experience in plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery. After completing another fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, a center of excellence in medical education and practice, he moved to Miami, Florida, where he worked as an associate professor of plastic surgery for six years at the University of Miami before starting a private practice. He currently enjoys running a busy reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery practice with patients from local, national, and international locations. Haute Beauty expert Dr. Askari explains how Renuvion powered with J-Plasma treatment is usually combined with Liposuction to tighten the skin.

It can be done in an outpatient clinic and requires between 48 and 72 hours of recovery. A compression garment for a few weeks is recommended for optimal results.
This procedure is minimally invasive. The surgeon makes a small incision of approximately 4 millimeters to insert a small cannula to suction the fat and then pass the J-Plasma that tightens the skin. The heat generated by the flow of helium plasma energy triggers the production of natural collagen in the skin, and it creates a tightening effect.
Nowadays, we recommend to all of our patients inquiring about liposuction to consider adding J-Plasma to their treatment plan. This helps to optimize the results of their liposuction by creating tighter, firmer skin in the treated areas and prevent loose skin after liposuction. However, J-Plasma can also be performed independently of liposuction to treat loose skin problems as an anti-aging procedure.
The effects are very noticeable immediately after treatment, but will continue to increase until three months after surgery and will reach their final results after nine months after surgery.
What areas can be treated?
J-Plasma can be done on any part of the body that has loose skin whether it has been treated with liposuction or not. This is in case of any loose skin in the following areas:
• Neck
• The abdomen
• The flanks
• The upper arms
• The inner thighs
• The back of the skin under the bra
For women who have loose skin after pregnancy or excessive weight loss where liposuction is not sufficient, and a tummy tuck is not desired.

• Quick recovery. Unlike other aesthetic interventions, those using J-Plasma do not require more than 3 to 5 days of recovery. But keep in mind everyone is different and this might be different from one person to another.
• No visible scars. Since liposuction with J-Plasma is performed through small incisions, the chances of leaving scars are very low, compared to other aesthetic surgeries.
• It stimulates the production of natural collagen to renew cells to firm the skin.
• In facial and skin beauty treatment, it allows eliminating wrinkles, spots, and scars.
• This treatment is painless for the patient.
• It controls its effects with total precision.
What is the potential side effect?
Recovery. It is not uncommon for patients to experience bruising, swelling, redness, or a mild tight sensation in their skin following their Renuvion with J-Plasma. Some patients may experience bruising and swelling for long periods, which is normal following a liposuction procedure.
Now is the perfect time to consider liposuction with J-Plasma for ideal results. For a limited time, we at Revive Plastic Surgery & Anti-Aging Institute are offering J-Plasma at 50% off if combined with liposuction treatment.
