Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic eyelid surgery to recreate a youthful looking eyelid that repairs droopy eyelid by removing excess skin, muscle, and fat. The eyes are one of the first parts of your face that draws attention to you, and the eyelids are first area to show signs of aging, such as wrinkles, saggy excess skin and prolapse fat. The skin around your eyes is the thinnest and most delicate skin of your body, and therefore it is susceptible to stress and aging changes early. Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) or eyelift surgery will tighten up the skin and muscle of the eyelids and reduce the fat excess for your rejuvenated overall facial appearance. Dr. Basil Pakeman is board-certified ophthalmic surgeon and cosmetic surgeon who specializes cosmetic eyelid surgery and functional eyelid surgery Manhattan, New York.
