Alexander Earle about the benefits of Liposuction.

HB: When is liposuction a good choice over noninvasive options?

Liposuction is an excellent option to reduce large deposits of excess fat which can significantly improve your figure in several areas at once. Noninvasive procedures can reduce fat to a certain extent, but for more drastic results liposuction is better indicated than other noninvasive options.

HB: Who is a good candidate?

Good candidates for liposuction are adults within 30% of their ideal weight whom are healthy and do not have any life-threatening illnesses of medical conditions. Patients must also be nonsmokers and have realistic expectations.

HB: How many treatments until the patient can see desired results?

Most patients only need one liposuction procedure to obtain desired results

HB: What is recovery like?

Recovery time is usually 6 weeks.  But massages and wearing special garments is recommended for 6 months to a year after surgery. You may need to wait 1-2 weeks before returning to work or before you can safely resume any activity other than walking and it may take several months for the full results to be seen and swelling to go down

HB: How are results best maintained?

Liposuction results can be maintained by using the right compression garments, massaging regularly (specially during the first few months after surgery) and through regular exercise, eating a good diet and a healthy lifestyle
